The first experimental workshop, International Bamboo Studio, carried out in partnership with the National Institute of Design of Ahmedabad, India, was inaugurated by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. The first research projects supported by the Program were in partnership with Maison Martin Margiela, Manufacture Haviland, and the International Bamboo Studio, and were presented as part of D'DAYS in June 2013.
