Campus Mode, Métiers d'Art & Design
The Campus Mode, Métiers d’Art et Design (Fashion, Crafts and Design Campus) is a unique network of education institutions and institutional partners. Located at the heart of the Gobelins Manufactory (Manufacture des Gobelins), it is led by the École des Arts Décoratifs.
Presentation
As Paris and the Île-de-France are the leading region for craftspeople and designers in France, they are an essential hub for professionals of the industry. Above all, they offer a wealth of training opportunities, characterized by the institutions’ outstanding quality, the wide range of education courses (from vocational degrees to PhDs) and by vastly renowned great cultural and artistic partners.
The Campus Mode, Métiers d’Art et Design was born out of the common desire to use that remarkable wealth, promote those excellent training courses and meet the needs of creative industries by working with companies, craftspeople, foundations and patrons who give life to this dynamic economic sector.
The Campus d’excellence des Métiers et des Qualifications was created by the Île-de-France region and academic region, in association with a great institution of the French Ministry of Culture: Mobilier National. The latter is both an exceptional partner and a founding member of the Campus. This fruitful collaboration works to promote professional training, as wished by the French Ministry of National Education and Youth and by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, together with the French Ministry of Labor, Employment and Economic Inclusion.
The Campus is a true incubator and a unique place for reflection and interaction in France. Thus, it lets us to observe, analyze, recommend and implant experiments dedicated to educational, technological and professional innovation and to the main challenges raised by sustainability and the ecological transition.
